- Receive one year notice from ABHE
- Notify ABHE of preferred dates for visit
October 2005
- Appoint Self-Study Coordinator
- Appoint ABHE Steering Committee
- Appoint ABHE Subcommittees
- Notify ABHE of Self-Study Coordinator
- Initiate planning of Self-Study process
- Hold Steering Committee first meeting and develop initial calendar for Self-Study process
- Convene Grand Kickoff Meeting
November 2005
- Subcommittees plan how they will address/assess their 2 areas
- Collect copies of other self-studies and make available to subcommittees
- Subcommittees gather data
- Steering Committee develops an outline of the Self-Study
December 2005
- Subcommittees collect data, interview and analyze
- Subcommittees draft initial reports and determine needed data/study
- Subcommittees report to the Steering Committee
- Steering Committee gives feedback to subcommittees
January 2006
- Subcommittees report to the Steering Committee
- Steering Committee gives feedback to subcommittees
- Group selected to attend ABHE convention in February
February 2006
- Make meal/hotel arrangements for ABHE evaluation team
- Subcommittees respond to Steering Committee with requested information
- Group attends ABHE convention
- Subcommittees review reports in light of learning at ABHE convention
- Subcommittees makes necessary revisions
April 2006
- Subcommittees circulate documents for comment
- Subcommittees make necessary revisions
June 2006
- Final check of accommodations for team members
- Begin PageMaker layout of the Compliance Document
- Develop an ABHE Accreditation section on GBSC Web site
July 2006
- Put Compliance Document on ABHE section of GBSC website
- Put together Assessment Document and Planning Document
- Steering Committee invites people to be available for team visit
- Develop schedules for site visit including meeting rooms, meals, refreshments
- Appoint Campus Hostess for the evaluation team visit
- Prepare for site visit
