Self-Study Coordinator
Dr. Ken Farmer
In October 2005, President Avery appointed Dr. Ken Farmer, Vice President for Academic Affairs, as the Self-Study Coordinator for the ABHE 10-year reaffirmation visit. As SSC, he will chair the Self-Study Steering Committee and will serve as the official liaison between GBSC and the ABHE staff.
Dr. Farmer was part of the GBSC team in the early 1980s that worked on the initial effort that earned accreditation with the Association for Biblical Higher Education (formerly AABC) and, more recently, headed up the successful effort to gain candidacy status with the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
He has been involved in Christian education for 29 years, 19 at GBSC where he earned his first college degree (1977).
