Self-Study Purpose

As part of the process of having our accreditation through the Association for Biblical Higher Education reaffirmed, God's Bible School and College must conduct a comprehensive self-evaluation. In addition to confirming that we are still in compliance with the 12 comprehensive integrated standards, the self-study will be a part of ongoing efforts at continuous improvement.
As a result of the self-study, GBSC hopes to achieve the following goals and benefits:
Self-Study Goals
- Assess the extent to which GBSC meets the ABHE Comprehensive Integrated Standards
- Identify areas that exceed the standards of accreditation and deserve commendation
- Identify areas that offer opportunity for improvement
- Develop strategies for addressing each identified concern
- Conclude with a comprehensive report (Compliance Document) and two supporting documents (Assessment Document and Planning Document) to be used by the college as part of its planning for improvement
- Have our accreditation with ABHE affirmed for the next 10 years
Self-Study Benefits
- Sharpen the focus of the college's mission and clarify its goals
- Provide a constructive framework within which to engage in self-analysis for the purpose of identifying institutional strengths and opportunities for improvement
- Identify and respond to the critical issues and concerns facing the college, and generate new or improved approaches to these issues
- Increase the efficiency and productivity of the operational units of GBSC
- Strengthen the institutional research component
