History: God's Bible School began in 1900 under the leadership of Martin Wells Knapp.

Accreditations: GBS is fully accredited by Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. This is the regional accrediting agency that accredits such institutions as the Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati, as well as Christian colleges and universities, such as Cincinnati Christian University and Indiana Wesleyan University. GBS is also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education, a national accrediting agency that is authorized by the Department of Education to accredit Bible colleges.
Recognitions: GBS is recognized by the Department of Education of the state of Ohio, and all its degrees are authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents. It is approved by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to enroll international students and by the Social Security Administration to give training to those who qualify to receive benefits under the Social Security Program. Additionally, the college is approved by the State Approving Agency of the State Department of Education of Ohio to give training to veterans and veterans’ orphans who qualify for benefits.
Affiliations: GBS is also an institution listed by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and holds membership in the following organizations: Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), National Association of Independent College and Universities (NAICU), SouthWest Ohio and Neighboring Libraries (SWON), and the College Administrator’s Roundtable.
