Preferred Private Lender List
Please note: As a Title IV participant we are eligible to receive certain types of federal grants and loans; you should submit a FAFSA to make sure these options have been exhausted before borrowing from a private lender. The maximum amount of federal grant and loan funds for which you may be eligible to receive can be found in document below:
Please also be aware that you have the option to choose a private lender not listed below; loan requests will be processed from any eligible private lender you select.
To help you navigate through the process of choosing a private lender GBSC has selected two lenders that we would like to recommend you borrow from. We have selected these two lenders because of their:
- Exceptional school/customer service and support
- Competitive pricing, rates, fees, terms and conditions
- Borrower benefits/repayment incentives
- Reputation & track record
- Stability & longevity
This type of loan is not government regulated; therefore, each lender is required to disclose information regarding their particular private loan. You will find the Private Loan Application and Solicitation Disclosure for both Charter One and Discover Student Loans below.

To apply for a private student loan from Discover Student Loans click here
In addition to the disclosures provided by each lender, new federal regulations require that GBSC provide an annual report to the Department of Education. When we complete our first report, it will be posted. |
