Self-Study Purpose

As part of the process of seeking accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC), God’s Bible School and College must conduct a comprehensive self-evaluation. In addition to satisfying the accreditation criteria, the self-study will be a part of ongoing efforts at continuous improvement.
As a result of the self-study, GBS hopes to achieve the following goals and benefits:

- Conclude with a comprehensive report and supporting documents to be used by the college as part of its planning for improvement
- Gain candidate status with the HLC
Self-Study Benefits
- Sharpen the focus of the college’s mission and clarify its goals
- Provide a constructive framework within which to engage in self-analysis for the purpose of identifying institutional strengths and opportunities for improvement
- Identify and respond to the critical issues and concerns facing the college, and generate new or improved approaches to these issues
- Increase the efficiency and productivity of the operational units of GBS
- Strengthen the institutional research component
