Self-Study Coordinators

In May 2005, President Avery appointed Dr. Ken Farmer, Vice President for Academic Affairs, as the Self-Study Coordinator for the drive to HLC accreditation. After a successful team visit and attaining candidate status, the institution is now poised for its second self-study.
This new effort differs from the previous HLC self-study and the recent ABHE self-study in that it broadens the managerial experience with respect to self-studies. The Assistant VPAA, Aaron Profitt, will coordinate the effort and vice chairs of the old self-study subcommittees will now become the chairs (and vice versa). GBSC can only benefit from others receiving this valuable experience. Dr. Farmer will serve as a co-coordinator and will maintain final oversight of the project.
The self-study is scheduled for completion in July 2007 and the HLC evaluation team will be on campus September 24-26. Please pray for this effort and all those working hard to achieve a positive outcome.
