1st Grade Teacher

1st Grade Teacher

Supervisor: Academy Principal
Supervises: Student Aid if applicable

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and attractive classroom.
  • Teach classes as assigned by the principal.
  • Attend weekly staff and prayer meetings.
  • Keep track of attendance, tardies, and assist in making sure students are dressed according to the dress code.
  • Keep parents informed of students’ academic progress.
  • Attend all school functions both for Academy and College.
  • Keeping daily records for Mandated  Reimbursement Program.
  • Attend professional development seminars, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a positive role model both spiritually and professionally toward colleagues, parents, and students.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree (required), an advanced degree (preferred).
  • Classroom management skills.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal),
  • A willingness to follow directions from administration,
  • A thorough understanding of a Christian philosophy of teaching,
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and to be flexible,
  • An ability to work with parents and students of various backgrounds,
  • A strong holiness background.

Campus Babysitter

Campus Babysitter

Classification: Full-Time, Staff Member, 42-Week
Supervisor: ACA Principal

The Campus Babysitter is responsible for providing safe, attentive, and nurturing care for employee children during the workday in support of the campus community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and care for employee children during designated hours
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized childcare environment
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities, play, and learning opportunities
  • Assist with basic childcare needs such as snacks, restroom breaks, and rest times
  • Monitor children’s behavior and ensure appropriate discipline and guidance
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s needs, concerns, or incidents
  • Follow all campus safety procedures and childcare policies
  • Assist with maintaining childcare supplies and materials

Qualifications

  • Strong Christian commitment and agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement (per GBSC employment policy)
  • Experience caring for children in a childcare, educational, or babysitting setting is preferred
  • Ability to supervise and engage children of varying ages
  • Strong relational and communication skills
  • Patient, dependable, and attentive demeanor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to respond calmly and appropriately in emergencies
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Elementary Teacher

Basic Function: Serve as a teacher of K-12 music students

Responsibilities

The duties of the Elementary Music Teacher include the following:

  • K-12 general music classes
  • Plan and execute K-12 music programs.
  • Assist other music teachers, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and attractive classroom.
  • Attend weekly staff and prayer meetings.
  • Keep track of attendance, tardies, and assist in making sure students are dressed according to dress code.
  • Keep parents informed of students’ academic progress.
  • Attend all school functions both for Academy and some College events.
  • Keeping daily records for Mandated Reimbursement Program.
  • Attend professional development seminars, etc.
