Academy After School Care Assistant
Academy After School Care Assistant
Supervisor: Principal
Schedule: 10 hours per week. ACA Supervisor will accommodate student work schedules when reasonably possible and as jobs allow. The primary shifts are: 3pm – 5pm daily.
Schedules may vary for different days depending on the class schedule, although we ask that they be set hours for that day each week.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring gym play time and encourage homework completion
- Assist with overseeing student-to-student interactions
- Record students attending After School program
- Assist in clean up of areas used during After School Care
- Adhere to Academy policies and procedures.
- Convey positive example for students.
- Understand that work duties are a primary responsibility and distractions should be kept to a minimum. For example, cell phones should only be used for work related communication.
- Adhere to Academy policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be interested in working with students on an individual and group basis
- Must show ability to support the After School Supervisor in properly disciplining and interacting with students so as to maintain order
- Should be comfortable interacting with parents
- Must be able to communicate concerns/problems with Administration and parents as necessary (i.e. injuries, discipline)
Academy Teacher Aid

Schedule: 15 hours per week. ACA Supervisor will accommodate student work schedules when reasonably possible and as jobs allow. The primary shifts are: 7am – 8am daily; 1:30pm – 3pm daily. Additional 7.5 hours will be flexible as determined by Supervisor.
Schedules may vary for different days depending on the class schedule, although we ask that they be set hours for that day each week.
Responsibilities
- Assist with light grading and in-classroom duties
- May involve tutoring in various subjects
- Convey positive example for students.
- Understand that work duties are a primary responsibility and distractions should be kept to a minimum. For example, cell phones should only be used for work related communication.
- Adhere to Academy policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must show interest in working with faculty and students
- Must be flexible while staying on schedule
- Must be able to maintain order and discipline of students
- Must be able to maintain open communication with faculty and report in daily for task assignment
Barista
Barista
Classification: 15 hours per week
Supervisor: Coffee Shop Manager
Schedule: M-F 7:30am-8pm (Closed for required services and lunch, dinner). Potential hours on Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at least fifteen minutes before opening time to prepare
- Keep room and serving areas clean
- Keep equipment (espresso machine, grinders, batch brewer, etc) clean
- Interact with all customers in a friendly and professional manner at all times
- Wash, rinse, sanitize dishes, utensils, beakers, etc. by hand at EOD
- Collect correct payment and give correct change
- Prepare beverages to order
- Assist in any duties requested to assure a smooth and healthy food service operation
Qualifications
- Evening/Weekend availability
- An appreciation and respect for specialty coffee
- Barista/Food service skills preferred
- Sufficient math skills to collect correct payment and give correct change
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English

Schedule: Sunday through Saturday as assigned during meal times
Sunday: 11:45 AM-2:30 PM and 8:00-10:00 PM
Monday-Friday: 11:45 AM – 2:30 PM and 4:30-6:30 PM
Saturday: 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM / 4:30-6:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Remove food prep dishes from kitchen
- Prepare bins for separation of eating utensils (plates, glasses, silverware, etc.)
- Wash meal and food prep dishes, pans and utensils
- Operate commercial dishwasher
- Clean trays
- Rinse items as needed prior to placing in dishwasher
- Clean cooking pans by hand as needed
- Keep dish room clean
- Clean damp areas (walls, floor, machinery)
- Put clean dishes, trays, pans, eating utensils in proper storage
- Clean and delime dishwasher
- Clean ice cream machine
- Clean fryer
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed
Qualifications

Enrollment Services Assistant

Classification: 15 hours per week
Supervisor: Enrollment Services Office Manager / Director
Schedule: Afternoon hours / Extra time may be involved with school visits, events, etc.
Responsibilities
- Aid in data entry into prospect database (CAMPUSiS)
- Maintain current prospect records in CAMPUSiS
- Aid in sequenced communication with prospects (packets, letters, postcards, phone calls, etc.)
- Aid in school visits
- Aid with on-campus events (Tournament, VIP Day, etc.)
Qualifications
- Must have proficient office or secretarial skills (Word, Excel, email)
- Must be able to carry on phone conversations
- Must enjoy working with teens
Food Service Worker
Food Service Worker
Classification: 15 hours per week
Supervisor: Food Service Director/Assistant Food Service Director/Head Cook (The person in charge of the crew for that meal)
Schedule: Sunday through Saturday as assigned to prepare and to serve meals.
The kitchen serves meals during the following times. Food preparation and cleanup takes place before, during, and after these meal times.
Sunday: 6:30-8:30 AM / 12:00-1:30 PM / 8:00-9:00 PM
Monday-Friday: 6:30-8:30 AM / 11:15 AM – 1:30 PM / 4:30-5:30 PM
Saturday: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM / 4:30-5:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals
- Serve meals (keep serving line moving efficiently)
- Clean food preparation, serving and eating areas / sweep and mop floors
- Launder towels, cleaning rags, aprons, etc.
- Assist in dish room as needed

Schedule: Preferably Monday through Friday 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM but will vary due to class schedules and maintenance needs.
Responsibilities
- Mow lawns
- Trim lawns, shrubs trees, flowers
- Plant flowers, shrubs and trees
- Snow and ice removal
- Clean campus of debris (leaves, branches, twigs, etc.)
- Move items as needed
- Clean vehicles (interior and exterior)
- Prepare vehicles and and attach trailers for trips
- Vehicle maintenance (change oil, minor repairs, etc.)
- Assist maintenance department as needed
- Repair and maintain the physical campus property
- Clean job sites
Qualifications
- High work ethic
- Physical health for manual labor and lifting
- Careful and alert conduct around work sites and in the use of equipment
- Experience with lawn equipment (mowers, trimmers, 0-turn, skid steer) or ability to learn safe operation

Library Assistant
Library Assistant
Classification: 15 hours per week
Supervisor: Director of Library Services and the Coordinator for Technical Services, Serials, and Interlibrary Loan
Schedule: Shifts vary. Library staff will accommodate student work schedules when reasonably possible, however, these are the primary shifts desired.
- 12-9 PM – Mon/Tues/Thu: 2 students per shift,
Shift 1: 12:00-4:30, Shift 2: 4:30 – 9 - 12-9 PM – Wed: (closed from 7-8 PM for prayer meeting/D-Group): 2 students per shift,
Shift 1: 12:00-4:30, Shift 2: 4:30 – 7; 8 – 9 - 12-7 PM – Fri: 2 students per shift,
Shift 1: 12:00-3:30, Shift 2: 3:30 – 7 - 12 – 5 PM – Sat: 1 student per shift.
Shifts primarily reserved for volunteer time (for 15 hour time) or extra hours to make up lost work-hours
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing circulation assistance to library users, shelving books, keeping library neat and in order, and assist
- Coordinator for Technical Services, Serials, and Interlibrary Loan with item processing as assigned.
- Projects a positive and pleasant attitude to the public and cooperates and maintains an effective relationship with other staff members as part of a team.
- Shelves library materials. Locates requested items.
- Puts books in order on shelves
- Assists staff with checking materials for damage and removing them from the shelves.
- Stamps and pockets new materials for circulation.
- Refers research assistance requests to librarian, professional staff members

Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English at a 12th grade level.
- An awareness of the purposes and functions of the academic library and the ability to learn routine library procedures.

- Basic computer skills required (Word, Excel, Google Sheets, etc preferred).
- Ability to push and pull library book trucks weighing 100-300 lbs.
- Carry up to 15 lbs. of books across the library.
- Stand for a long time in one area.
- Bend and stretch to reach high and low shelves.

Supervisor: Executive Assistant to the President
Schedule: Mon – Fri afternoons (1-5 PM)
Serves as receptionist for the College, operates the main switchboard, and assists other offices as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Serves as receptionist for the College, operates the main switchboard, and assists other offices as necessary.
- Prepare office for guests in the afternoon and close up at the end of the day: lights and doors.
- Answer and direct telephone calls: 1:00 PM -5:00 PM
- Greet and serve guests.
- Assist President’s Office, Registrar and Director of Institutional Research, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, Cashier’s Office, and other offices as necessary (in this order).
- Receive incoming packages.
- Maintain a quiet work environment free of student visitors.

Resource Room Clerk

Classification: 15 to 20 hours per week
Supervisor: Resource Room Director
Schedule: Afternoons, evenings, Saturdays (rotation basis)
The Resource Room Clerk is responsible for managing the Commons and Mail Room during their shift.
Responsibilities
- Place mail in mailboxes on a daily basis
- Make copies for the campus students, staff and faculty
- Maintain the copy machine, fax machine and postal machine
- Operate cash register and credit card machine
- Light cleaning
- Restock snacks and drinks
- Brew coffee
- Bake cookies
Qualifications
- Concern for accuracy, neatness and cleanliness
- Good interpersonal skills
- The ability to meet strict deadlines and follow orders
Security Guard
Security Guard
Classification: 15 hours per week
Supervisor: Security Chief / Director for Student Affairs
Schedule: Shifts vary. Students should be able to work weekends.
The Director of Student Affairs and/or Security Chief will accommodate student work schedules when reasonably possible and as scheduling allows. Students will work two shifts per week from any of the following shifts seen below. These are the primary shifts desired:
- Saturdays: 12a-8a, 8a-4p, 4p-12a
- Sundays: 12a-8a, 8a-4p, 4p-12a
- Monday-Friday: 5p-12:30a, 12a-8a
Schedules are made out monthly by the Security Chief.
Responsibilities
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment (if applicable); inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
- Obtains help by sounding alarms and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Maintains calm, safe environment in an emergency by assisting with evacuation and crowd control.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; reporting trespassers; and notifying law enforcement when appropriate.
- Monitors traffic and parking lots by reporting violations and issuing tickets as appropriate.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses.
- Maintains environment by monitoring building controls.
- Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal and institutional requirements.
- Assists the campus family by courteously answering calls and responding to needs (unlocking, giving admittance, etc.)
Qualifications
- Dependable to show up to work when scheduled – on time.
- Able to patrol campus property on foot.
- Carefulness with campus equipment (golf cart, etc.)
- Understanding of confidentiality and appropriate communication.
- Surveillance skills or willingness to learn.
