The Honor System

Honor is the moral cornerstone of God’s Bible School and College. The commitment to honor is recognized by every student, faculty member, staff member and administrator of the college. Honor creates a community of trust and respect, affecting fundamentally the relationship of all its members. Students’ dedication to honorable behavior in all their academic work creates a strong bond of trust among them and between them and the faculty.

Commitment to honorable behavior in social affairs is expected as well. Students will respect each other’s person, word, privacy, and intellectual and personal property in the residence halls, in other campus facilities, the City of Cincinnati or anywhere students take themselves. They will practice the principles of honesty, responsibility, caring and respect at all times with all other persons.

Honorable commitment to the rules in the Student Handbook is expected, whether they have read them in their entirety or not.

The honor system has been a uniquely defining feature at God’s Bible School and College for a century. Thousands of students have lived under it while in residence, have been morally shaped by it, and as alumni continue to be guided by it in their professional lives. As a current student, you must uphold this tradition and maintain it with firm conviction as a distinctive ideal of this college.

The Honor Pledge
On my word of honor I will live a surrendered and pure life,
remembering always the One whom I serve is a Holy God.
On my word of honor I will live out the values and
obey the rules of my college at all times.
On my word of honor I will treat my fellow students
with honesty, responsibility, caring and respect.
